SNAKE RIVER DUCK DUCHESS DIXIEÂ SH BN
Descendant of GMPR Rik's Risky Raider SH MH and GMPR MACH Lime Creek's Punkin Patootie VCD3 UD TDX MH
Dixie is a yellow-factored, 70-pound female who loves her birds as much as she loves people. She possesses many traits Labrador Retrievers are famously known for: an eagerness to please, friendly, outgoing, biddable, and athletic. She is fantastic in the duck blind and possesses the following attributes: rock-solid steadiness, top-notch blind manners, and natural marking abilities. On an upland hunt, she points naturally. Dixie's versatile lines can be traced to two Wisconsin kennels where many top-performing hunting competition and successful multiple venue dogs have come from: Lime Creek Labradors and Holzinger Kennels. Dixie earned her Junior Hunter title shortly after her second birthday in 2014, easily passing four tests in three weekends.
In August 2019, shortly after whelping a beautiful litter of pups, Dixie earned an HRC Seasoned pass in Chewelah, WA in our first ever HRC test.
In 2020, Dixie earned a new obedience title at her first AKC Obedience Trial in Boise, ID, winning her class with top-qualifying scores three days in a row. Also, Dixie earned two AKC Senior Hunter passes. Due to a combination of COVID-19 cancelling many tests, my rigorous school schedule, and heat cycles, we came up short on acquiring our titles and only made it to two tests. We plan to finish her HRC Seasoned and AKC Senior Hunter titles in 2021 as long as there are tests to participate in, and we will continue training for Master level stakes. Dixie is 100% amateur trained by me.
5/06/21 Update: Dixie achieved her AKC Senior Hunter Title at the Wasatch Hunting Retriever Club Spring Double Header Hunt Test on 05/02/21. We ran in the double header and she sailed through both stakes. I am very proud of my Dixie girl.
