Daughter of CNAFC-CFC-FC-AFC Aces High III "Willie" (BLK) and 4xGMPR Duffys Jazzed Up Rippin Ruby MH QA2 (CHOC)

Bernie is a 60-lb, chocolate-factored female.  Bernie is a very intense retriever and has endless drive.  She has an impressive, stylish water entry and is a strong swimmer.  The combination of Bernie's wonderful, working attitude, her athleticism, and her desire to please make her a joy to train and hunt.  She is a quick learner and has lots of potential to succeed in whichever venue we wish to play in.  One of my favorite qualities about her is her sweet disposition; she has the desirable off-switch in the home, and when she is not in working mode, she loves nothing more than to have you rub her belly while holding her paw. 

In August 2019, Bernie and I ran our first HRC test in Chewelah, WA.  She earned two HRC Seasoned passes, and just needs two more to finish her title.  We are also continuing her training for AKC Senior/Master level, and will be running in AKC senior level stakes spring 2020.

Bernie ran in one AKC Senior Hunter stake to earn her first pass in Portland, OR on Sauvie's Island.  Due to her heat cycle, she was unable to attend the second AKC Senior stake that I went to with Dixie.  Instead, she was bred to 4XGMPR HR Rattlin Ridge Otter McBunn MH QA2 and produced a wonderful litter of chocolate and black puppies.

This year, we have plans to finish her HRC Seasoned and AKC Senior Hunter titles, and continue training for master level stakes.

In May 2021, Bernie ran and passed her second and third AKC Senior Hunt Tests hosted by the Wasatch Hunting Retriever Club in Salt Lake City, Utah over the weekend of May 1st and 2nd.  Hooray, Bernie!  Thank you to all the judges, volunteers, workers, and club members who put on a well-run doubleheader event.  She did a really great job of working with me on the blinds and marking her birds.  I am so proud of her!  She just needs one more pass for her AKC Senior Hunter title.  I always seem to get compliments on how well-behaved and calm she is in the holding blinds.
